VEEAM AWS PORTABLE
Cloud-ready Portable Licensing – Move workloads across cloud environments with a Veeam Universal license (VUL) that flexibly follows your workload. Lower Management Costs – Helps customers to manage, backup, and recover all workloads from a single interface. VMware V-Sphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix AHV). Hybrid Mobility – Flexible with no cloud lock-in, restore or migrate any on-premises workloads directly to AWS and restore files or data from AWS back to on-premises or any other Veeam-supported environment (ex. Cost-optimized for long-term data retention in Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). Built for cloud-native workloads with support for native snapshots and Veeam backups. AWS-Native Backup and Powerful Recovery – The same trusted solution for on-premises backup now protects AWS workloads. The solution provides file-level recovery for native snapshots and Veeam backups and a new tool, the Cloud Backup Cost Estimator. With the solution, customers can sort and recover their data in the same cloud (cross-region or cross-account), on-premises, or in any other Veeam-supported environment – whether VMware V-Sphere, Microsoft Hyper-V or Nutanix AHV. The new solution is all about ease of use giving its users a way to natively protect, manage and recover their AWS workloads. The new Veeam Backup for AWS is said to bring the same simplicity, flexibility and reliability to AWS native-backup that earned Veeam recent industry recognitions, scoring well in both Gartner’s Magic Quadrant and the Forrester Wave. Veeam is swooping in with its new Backup designed specifically for AWS. Users need easy ways to protect their data. This data loss is mostly caused by error or accidental deletion. Veeam will be demonstrating this new solution as well as its other AWS solutions at AWS re:Invent 2019 in Las Vegas, NV at booth #3007.ĭata loss is an issue regardless of where data happens to be stored, on-prem or in a cloud such as AWS. This new service will be exclusively available through AWS Marketplace. At AWS re:Invent 2019 in Las Vegas, Veeam launched a new AWS-native Backup and recovery solution that they state is cost-effective and secure, and specifically designed for Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) protection.
